Experience
Working in the University Career Center as an undergraduate gave me skills in speaking with students to learn about their goals and needs, and then aiding them to seek those. At the UCC, I specifically helped students with resume and cover letter writing and interview preparation. This could also be applied to the college application and scholarship application process. I have volunteered as a mentor/tutor for students from pre-K through college, and have tutored specifically in Exercise Physiology, reading, writing, math, and ESL. I have an extensive background in Human Anatomy and Physiology and Exercise Physiology, and completed through Advanced Grammar and Writing in Spanish. I also completed a year of college physics, chemistry, and biology. During college, I worked part-time, completed service hours, and in some semesters took 18 hour credit loads while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I would be happy to help with study strategies and time-management as well.

I love travel and outdoor adventures. Spending a morning or afternoon with a book and a warm cup of coffee by the window isn't bad either :) I'm a health and wellness enthusiast, having participated in Track and Field in high school, and a variety of intramural sports in college, including flag football, volleyball, and softball. I'm working on my TEFL certification to open the door for more travel and working abroad opportunities.
